Committee Meeting (Mar 31, 2008)

The online meeting was called to order by Deepak Khazanchi, MWAIS President at 12:03 p.m. CST. Attending were Executive Committee Members Deepak Khazanchi, Ilze Zigurs, Simha Magal, Matt Germonprez, and Amit Deokar.

Chelley moved to approve the minutes of the February 28, 2008 meeting, Matt seconds, approved unanimously.

MWAIS 2008 Conference

Matt reported that the acceptance/rejection letter have been sent out: 18 research papers and 10 research-in-progress (RIP) papers have been accepted. 2 panels accepted.  

Matt solicited input on gift for attendees. Deepak, Simha, and Ilze provided some ideas. Simha also suggested that its best to leave that for the program committee to decide.

Matt will take care of the registration for UNO and GVSU participants, taking into account their sponsorships.

The conference program is planned to be completed by the end of the week. Deepak suggested sending out a short table of contents to AISWorld.

MWAIS Business Meeting (in conjunction with MWAIS 2008) will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 from 11:30 to 12:00.  

MWAIS Executive Committee Meeting (in conjunction with MWAIS 2008) will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2008 at 6 p.m. at Matt's house.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:27 p.m. CST by Deepak Khazanchi. The next meeting would be held, on April 28th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. CST.
